Developed for HumanCentric on behalf Hospira, the prototype for the Symbiq involved the talents of many highly talented people from diverse disciplines. My responsibilities for this project centered on the development of the user experience through interaction and animation, based on supplied specifications, requirements and visual design.
This was one of my earliest Flash prototypes, as well as my first opportunity to work with a few of my current colleagues. I spent over two years working on iterations of the prototype for user testing. Over that time my skills with Flash, ActionScript and object-oriented programming concepts developed at an accelerated pace.
While the primary goal was to produce an interface that that would help hospitals care for their patients in an safe, effective way. One of the interesting alternate uses has been in movies and televison, such as Sony Pictures' "Hancock" and ABC's "Gray's Anatomy".
The hardware for the the Symbiq was developed by Design Concepts.
